My Honda HT38-13 (HP) 2 cylinder water cooled engine will start but runs really rough. I removed and cleaned the carb, opened the valve cover to check the that the valves are not sticking, removed the muffler incase it was clogged but it still will not run properly. One thing I noticed is that the carb is blowing back towards me with fuel mixture. Seems it alternately sucks in and then blows fuel out the carb as if one cylinder was consuming fuel while the other cyl will not accept fuel and blows back. I checked compression on each cyl. One is 140 psi and the other 155 psi. Any suggestions what is wrong?
