Are you asking us to post troubleshooting tips for all the different systems on your mower? I don’t have time to do that much typing. How about posting your problem and we can narrow it down to that system. This is a help forum, not a hold my hand while I fix my unit forum. Mst techs here have full time jobs and families, and their time is limited.

If you want all the troubleshooting info you need to buy the service manual from Honda like most of us shops do. As Rivets just post what your problem and we can help with that particular problem. I do have access to this particular mower service manual as I work on a couple of them last year so I brought the service manual which is quite reasonably priced.
On top you must at have the tools and the abilities. It is not something that is as simple as opening up a can of beer or soda pop. We with the knowledge and expedience can make look that way but it took us a long time to learn ourselves. Even with our experience there are new problems to pop up from time to time that we haven' seen before ourselves.
It is like I spent two in electronics schools just to find out the knowledge they gave was so outdated it wasn't funny. And the lack on of hands experience didn't help at all either. It was like starting all over again.
General troubleshooting on a specific engine is not needed. That is why it is called general troubleshooting and not Honda GCV160 troubleshooting (for example). This information can be found online at the touch of a finger, however the experience comes from years of hands on learning.
