Hi, I picked up this Honda at the curb probably more than a year ago and finally now trying to get it to start. It runs for a bit with some starter fluid sprayed directly into the carb, but then dies. I replaced the carb, but still the same thing.
It's possible I did something wrong (there's a ton of gaskets on this one), but I really don't think so. Also, the carb plate that gets screwed onto it makes it impossible to get to any adjustments, but should that be necessary with a new carb? I can of course take the carb plate off, bolt it together without it, and try, but I'm looking for more specific ideas on how I should approach this.
