My Honda HR214 SX lawn mower is in need of repair. It was sitting in my relative's garage unused for a few years before it was given to me. I'm afraid the engine is seized because the pull start cord will not budge. I was told that it smoked some on start up before it was put in storage.
I know Honda mowers have a good reputation for quality and this one is in good physical condition so I'd like to get it working.
I'm going to see if it is indeed seized and put some penetrating fluid in it to see if it will free up. Are there other suggestions to help diagnose the problem?
