At least Honda will keep making parts and engines. I've owned quite a few Honda-powered lawnmowers with zero issues regarding the engines. In 2020 I finally bought the Honda HRN216VKAA Self-propelled mower and haven't experienced any issues recently mentioned in online videos. One of the issues reported is that the Honda HRNs cease to pull start.
Honda needed the North Carolina walk behind mower plant to produce side x sides and ATVs.
As far as I know, they will still be producing V-Twin commercial mower engines.
Good luck finding any brand of gasoline powered walk behind mower at Lowe’s or Home Depot. They have swallowed the battery powered pill.
