I really like this mower and want to restore it. It's still running well but in the wet Pacific NW it takes quite a beating. I've found some good Youtube videos on transmission removal & overhaul but not on blade clutch & engine R & R. Any resources out there? TD

Send Robert at HONDA this website a private message with mower year, model number, serial number as well as all numbers from engine, all numbers should be located on sticker or data plate on mower & engine.

#1: When looking up parts or buying a shop manual, you'll need to know the mower's serial number. It's on sticker or metal plate on the top rear of the mower deck:

#2: Get a factory paper shop manual. It has detailed removal, repair and replacement instructions and illustrations, and will save you countless time and money when doing major repairs/restoration work. Honda sells them direct on eBay and Amazon (free shipping):

Honda Power Equipment Shop Manuals on Amazon

#3: is a parts catalog; many Honda dealers have them online (www.boats.net is a big one) and Honda also has a parts look-up site. It is for reference only, and any actual parts purchases must be done so from a dealer.
Honda Power Equipment, Engines and Marine Factory Parts Lookup

#4: (if close to you) is making contact with your local Honda dealer. Often, they can meet or beat online parts prices, especially on smaller items, as shipping costs are usually more than paying a local sales tax; here's a link to find the nearest dealer:

#5: Of course, if you have a specific question, lots of expertise here; try and include a photo or two if possible.
