Hello again, i have a honda push mower with some type of plastic tank on it that is leaking where a bolt holds it in place. I tried JB welding it, and that failed almost immeditely. after sitting over the winter the jb weld looks like it turned colors like its not even holding up to the gas at all.

what in the world am i supposed to use to fix a gas tank? every product i see on amazon for this has lots of good ratings, but then u look at the bad ratings and right away i see people using it for gas tanks and failures......so whats the answer to this issue, besides paying $100 for a honda gas tank:laughing:

Have you actually priced a new tank from Honda? Share the serial number with me and I'll get you a part number and list price. Honda has a lot of competitive dealers who are aggressive on pricing, so it might be less costly than you think.

A fuel tank isn't really something you should patch. Having a mower that *might* start leaking fuel is a bad situation. A properly installed OEM tank would greatly reduce risks and hazards associated with a fuel leak.
