I have a honda eu3000is invertor it has a cleaned carb, new spark plug, fresh oil, valves set, good compression, timing key is good but no matter what i do even trying to start it on briggs carb and choke the engine wont start.
the unit has no battery right now and i have replaced all the bad looking wires and connectors.
all it does is if cranking and using a starting aid it will give a little bang like trying to start every 20 pulls
i've heard bad things about the low oil indicator switch but before pulling the engine out to tear apart and check i wanted to see if anyone has any information on this
Thank you in advance

Step one is a spark test. Ensure you are getting a nice, bright spark. If not, check the following:

--Test/measure ignition coil on both primary and secondary sides:
--Inspect/measure spark plug cap:

--Inspect/measure Ignition Control Module (the component with the three indicator LEDs):
