i have a ryobi powerwasher with honda motor, 190 GCV. had terrible kick back and did all the trouble shooting including valve adjustment, check timing key, and timing belt check. started with starting fluid and worked great by would quit. figured fuel delivery problem so changed to new carburetor i had around and now wont start. there is new plug and it has spark. thoughts appreciated.
Did you set valves to correct spec? Make sure they have decent wiggle on tdc. Only other thing I can think of besides that and flywheel key being sheared is to hold the wand trigger while starting. It may have built up pressure. Or disconnect hoses and try pulling rope 4 to 5 times. Blocked exhaust port maybe?
On the no start, check the tank, lines, and fuel filter. If it has a carb adjustment try that. Also did you make sure the valves moved freely? On ohv engines I've had some with a bent pushrod that causes way too much compression. Just a few ideas.
