Hi- picked this beauty up in an old barn in VT this weekend. Runs, mows great! Starting to do the research and will be getting original owners manual etc from previous owner in a month or 2. In meantime. Label on tran says:
Homelite Yard Trac delux; Model YTD- 7S; Serial NO. 2455258; Textron, Port Chester, NY. How can I find production date from the SN? new to this forum and old tractors so any info appreciated. THX.

That is a very neat mower. How much did you pay for it and what do you plan using it for?

Thanks BlazNT and treechipper 48. I think I paid a fair price for it given its excellent running/cutting condition and because of the collectors value. No real plans for it other than maybe run it in the local 4th of July parade. Afetr that maybe find a restorer/collector interested in old Homelite mowers. I see you're in NH, where? maybe you want to take a look, I'm in VT. Let me know, thanks.
