Greetings. I just picked my Murray 21" Briggs and Stratton up from the shop, it was working fine until I hit a stump while mowing. The engine immediately stalled, and now cannot handle even the shortest grass without stalling in a similar fashion as it does when I'm mowing really tall grass. It starts and runs on the first pull, but stalls when I try to cut anything, and if I tilt it up off of the grass it powers back up without stalling. When I manually try to rotate the blade, I notice that it does not rotate very easily and there is a slight grinding sound coming from where the crankshaft is? Any help is greatly appreciated.

the grinding could be the flywheel brake rubbing on the flywheel if the bail handles isn't pulled. Most likely you sheared the flywheel key. But also make sure the blade and the crankshaft are not bent before attempting to repair.
