Is there any downside to using the hi lift blade that came with my raptor sd catcher kit during side discharge mode? I'd like to leave it on there all the time. The manual does say to replace it with the standard blade.

If the deck runs smooth (I'd be surprised if it didn't) and the cut is good a can't think of a reason not to.

Ran it today with the hi lift blade. Didn't notice any difference in cut or operation.

Might see a difference when mowing wet grass. I would monitor your deck after mowing to see if it gets clumped up.
Otherwise, happy cutting. Do what works.
