Hello, new to the group.
I am an airport ground service engineer, on my days off I also run a small business repairing groundcare equipment & light contractors plant from my home workshop.
My personal collection of machines, consists an old electric start Honda 194 petrol rotary mower , old Stihl fs160 cow horn strimmer / brushcutter, Shibaura long reach hedge trimmer, & a Stihl BR420 backback blower, all taken in as scrap or non-runner's, all repaired to use on our's & families & friends various gardens.
As well as fixing / servicing machines for my local customer's I also buy a few in to repair & sell on.
I see a varied range of machine's come through the shop and am happy to take on just about anything, especially the older machine's that may be more difficult to get part's for. I am able to machine & fabricate a lot of stuff & have extensive welding facilities which has enabled me to save a lot of quality old machines from the scrap heap.
I guess I just like the challenge of taking a dead machine & making it run again whilst earning a little extra along the way.

Hi hotspanner, I' new here myself, just finding my way around. It's good to read of someone saving older machines. I have a 100yr old Pensilvania push mower that I'm working on. To be honest, even when it's back together, it's going to be a bitch to use, must weigh 50lbs. Don't fancy pushing that all day.

Good luck, Phil

Never had anything that old through here, maybe some late 50's, early 60's stuff. I thought they used livestock to keep the grass down back then?
