Just wanted to add a quick post here. My name's Nick and I'm from Indiana. Anyone from here knows the type of weather!

My family consists of my wife, 2 kids (right now), and a couple of pets.

Right now I'm using a MTD BLACK push mower with the hopes of getting involved with an electric mower once this one decides to die on me. It's actually doing pretty well considering it doesn't have a Briggs and Stratton engine.

I've been doing extensive research on robotic mowers and if anyone would like to chime in with their opinions on moving to an electric line or what you think about the robot revolution, go for it!

Happy to be here -- hoping to make some valuable discussions.

Hi Nick. Welcome to the forum!

The robotic mowers seemed a little weak the last time I looked into them, but I have to admit they're pretty cool.

I've been reviewing them and they ARE really interesting! One thing for sure is that they've come a long way since they were first introduced.

When is the last time you read about them?

I have to admin - that's awesome. It looks so robust compared to some of the others on the market.

To find out more about the robotic mowers, I've done research and the Spider mower made me think of the Robomow since it has remote control capabilities. I definitely think the Spider might be more commercial grade, but the Robomow offers some autonomous mowing.

If you're interested in a review, feel free to read my Robomow comparison on my blog.

I'm really glad you pointed this out - I haven't come across these RC mowers yet.

It's been a while. I haven't personally been in the market for a new mower in a few years.

Yeah, same here.

I've had an MTD push mower for a few years with no signs of slowing down. Really grateful because I love saving the money each summer.

I guess I'm to old fashioned to get into robotic lawn mowers. I actually like getting out and cutting the grass and doing all the other lawn and landscaping chores.
