I rebuilt the carburetor on this engine and reassembled everything. I never disconnected the throttle or choke cables from where the were bolted down, I just removed them from the carb. I then mowed the lawn with no problems. 1 week later I went to mow the throttle started sticking open and once I was able to release it the engine would still run very fast. I fiddled around with it until the governor spring came off. This is becoming very frustrating, I think I created new problems to the one I was trying to solve.
Does anyone have photos of the linkage? All of the parts lists show the pieces but not how they are connected.
