help with governor

hello folks, i have a about a 6yr old cub cadet self propelled mower with a chinese engine. the other day the governor spring must of fallen off of it while i was mowing and of course it was lost so i ordered a new spring but for the life of me i cannot tell where is goes. any help would be much appreciated. i will try to post some picts. thanks.

From your pics it looks like the governor spring is still installed. Pictures 2 and 4 look normal. what were the symptoms that lead you to believe the governor spring was missing
