I had someone give me a 1988 Craftsman II riding mower. The solenoid was stuck, I replaced it and now when I turn the switch nothing happens. Any ideas?

Could be a number of things....

Obviously check your fuses and electrical connections first.

Is the solenoid actually clicking (working) ? If not, we will address that in another reply post.

If solenoid is working, then check power is getting to the starter motor? If it is and its not turning over, you have most likely burnt the starter motor out due to the stuck solenoid....

Bypass the switch and jump the solenoid out and see if the starter spins...prolly the switch or one of the safety limits...
