I was mowing the lawn the other day and the drive feature suddenly stopped working. I tipped the mower to the side and noticed that the belt had come loose. I took off the metal plate that covers the belt area. I was able to loop the belt around the transmission-side pulley, but could not stretch it enough to align it to the wheel above the blade bolts. I noticed that the transmission could be swung inwards to create some relief, but that was not enough. There is a bolt with springs that is next to the pulley. I suspect that it may be useful in getting the belt back on, but I'm not sure what to do. Turning the bolt in either direction does not seem to do anything. In the attached picture, the bolt I'm talking about is #4.
So what do I do? Am I going about it the wrong way? I just need to get the belt back on!
Thanks.
