Hello trouble with my Weedeater One

I have an "Weed eater One" ??? .....well anyhow the drive goes clacking noise when engaged forward ...slightly
less now that the neighbor shortened the spring that tightens the chain tension er for the differential chain
our thought that the chain was slipping a couple of cogs every revolution????
In fact when he first looked at it the whole chain tension idler wasn't even on
so I was wondering if someone could send me a pictorial and pointing to the exact trouble spot and how to fix it
I'm betting that there are a few of you that have these little beast .....:laughing: unfortunately ?
