Hi just been out to cut the lawn as its dry enough today. I have a mountfeild sp470 had it for a bout 6 years no problems with it really unroll today. The last time I used it it did run out of fuel for the first time from New,
So it was going along nicely until it cut out and would not start again "strange" had a look and found it had no fuel, the front was soaking wet and it was pouring out fast, so I clamped the fuel line and had a deeper look.
Now the fuel is going in the carb and filling it and just coming out of the air intake, I'm ok for a bit of diy any ideas what this could be because I would like to get the rest of the lawn cut. Any help would be good thank you

It will possibly be the float needle is not sealing which is allowing carb to overfill with fuel and exit out of intake.
What engine? Briggs or mountfields own chinese engine?
