I may be a help too.I have been a mechanic/Tech for 32 years getting paid..I have a 2 year degree in diesel mechanics from Penn state worked in heavy equipment for 8 years then ended up in power boats for the rest..I am a wood worker and love to make things round on the wood laith.
I had a liver transplant 19 years ago so I only work on small stuff..I'm 100 % just older..

Welcome my friend. Sounds like you've got a pretty extensive background with mechanics, and a wide range at that.
