I've stumbled across your excellent forum and hope someone out there may be able to help.
I recently inherited my fathers old mower a Mountfield Emblem from the UK bought in around 1990 with a Tecumseh BVS 143 engine.
It is in need of some repair and TLC. It starts but the recoil cord is temperamental, it runs rich and is fouling the plug bit has not serviced for an age. I'm sure a carb clean, gasket change and a couple of spares will fix most ailments.
So far I have contacted Mountfield directly and also Tecumseh for manuals and part diagrams. Mountfield have replied with the owner manual showing the model as 15" Mountfield Emblem type number MP81303.
What I'm looking for is some kind of workshop manual to help in the servicing and general repair of the machine. It would be great to get it back to full health and I'm sure my Dad would be smiling from his lofty vantage point at the thought of his mower being put back to work!
