I have a honda HRB215 walk behind mower.
I was mowing my 1 acre lawn wen about half way through, just good Ole Bermuda, I disengaged the blade to grab a quick glass of water (the mower was still running) as soon as I tried to engage the blades they would just barely spin. And If I tried to go over any grass the mower would just bog way down and eventually die. Whe I release my blade clutch the motor revs back up to full speed as if nothing's wrong.
I just changed the oil hoping that would help. And the gas is fresh gas (a few weeks old.)
Any ideas and/or help would be awesome!

Thanks!

Make sure the throttle is always kept in the FAST position when engaging the blades. The engine should be spinning at 3,000 rpm or so when the throttle is set to FAST.

If the engine is stalling when you engage the blades, try doing that when the mower is on a sidewalk or other smooth surface, and there's no grass to slow the blades down. If it does fine there, then you may be trying to engage the blades when parked on heavy or thick grass.

If you are sure the engine is running at the right speed, and the blades still stall when on a sidewalk or driveway, there could be an issue with the blade clutch. This can be a little involved to troubleshoot properly, and it may need a detailed inspection for all the parts to confirm.
