Having problems with my Craftsman II LT4000

I have a Craftsman II LT4000 with a Kohler Command 14, it will run great for about 10 minutes then just shut off...once it cools down it starts right back up and shuts off after another 10 minutes. Does anyone have any ideas of whats wrong? Thank-you

Next time it shuts off, remove the spark plug, reinsert in into the wire and then ground to the metal part of the engine, and have somebody crank the engine so see if you have spark. the other thing to check is if you have a fuel solenoid on the carb, does it click when you turn the key on and off after the engine dies.
