Around April of this year, I purchased a 40v brushless mower from Hart. Now, all of a sudden the self-propelled feature will not disengage, despite the handle being in the locked position. So when trying to start the mower, it shoots forward and cannot be easily controlled when turning a corner. The owners manual doesn't seem to have any troubleshooting tips and the closest service center to me is nearly two hours away. So if anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it!

I am not a mechanic on these , but it sounds like it may be the potentiometer, [ speed control ], & /or a ground wire issue.
