Hard to start

My 42" Hustler Raptor Z Turn is having a hard time turning over and is getting worse. I replaced the battery with a new one and it didn't improve. The engine is a 22 HP Kohler 7000 series with 114 hours on it. Where should I start looking to find the problem causing this?

Screw driver across the two big solenoid terminals...how does it spin? fast? slow as usual?

With smaller mowers it's typically the carburetor. If the powered ignition is fine, try cleaning this out.
