I was not able to find a former post on this problem so I am posting a new thread. IF, this has been covered already please link me to the post.
Engine (18.5HP) will not start when hot after running it for 30 minutes or more. It is not a fuel delivery problem as it will not fire using choke, or with a small quantity of fuel deposited into the carb nor with ether. So that leaves an ignition problem since cranking speed is adequate.
This makes me think that during the "hot-soak" period, there is a electrical breakdown inside the ignition coil that once cooled sufficiently allows the engine to re-start.
Would this be the case or is there something else creating the problem ? THANKS FOR ANY HELP !
