handle shifter with knob for snapper

I recently bought a box lot of snapper parts in them was a shift handle with a threaded end where a knob goes I have seen them before that's not my question the end of the handle is bent different from the two I have should they be or should they be in line like the others this is like from the factory they welded it wrong at the bottom part its confusing to me maybe someone can shed some light on it for me I wanted to use it on my comet 74 but it does not go in the same direction???:ashamed:Thanks my friends!!

It's hard to make heads or tails of your big run-on sentence, but I'll give it a shot. Snapper made several different models of tractors in addition to the RERs. That shift handle could very well not be for an RER. Without a picture, I doubt anyone will be of much help.

Sorry about that Moe Joe it is off of aRER the shifter it's just not angled the same as the X series or the 4 series mowers the bend in the handle itself is opposite of any I have seen, looks to me like the factory welded it crooked. Thats why I asked puzzled I can grind out the weld and readjust it perhaps! Thanks for your reply sorry I was not clearer.jamesva
