Mower goes forward fine but doesn't like to back up. Its gotten worse over time. Mower is just over 2 yrs old, less than 100 hrs. Last year it was worst after mowing an hour or so, now even cold its balking. Easy fix?
Thanks for the reply. It's a GT50, model 14A0A3C0010 which I believe has the Torq Tuff K58 transmission? I got it to back up some yesterday and cut my backyard. I saw a video online where a guy had a 46" Cub with the K46 with the same issue. He stated that it got worse when the unit sat up a few days while they were travelling.
The Cub folks advised him to rabbit pump the reverse pedal in an effort to unstick the valve in the trans. Did that with mine and it did seem to improve things somewhat. The unit backs up now very slow but will not take a grade.
