Hi I'm wondering if it's possible to re-power an Ariens GT 18 with a diesel engine? I know Ariens made a diesel version called the GT 18-d (d for diesel). There is one for sale on ebay for over $3000 but I'm not going to pay that much. My reasoning for wanting a diesel engine is for more torque I will not be using it in the winter so starting it is not a problem.

HI I HAVE A GT-18D GREAT MACH, BLOWS SNOW 15 TO 20 FEET.
I THINK THE HYDRO IS NOT THE SAME FROM GAS TO DIESEL DO TO POWER AND BOLT PATTERN TO HYDRO AS WELL AS MOTOR MOUNTS.
MINE IS FOR SALE
