Hi,
I am in South Florida and there seems to be a rash of grub in the area. My lawn is no exception. It started small and finally had to kill the whole front yard so i can lay sod. My neighbors are having the same problem . I bought expensive grub killer in granules ,liquid and no change. How do professionals keep lawns so thick lush green and disease free?. I am thinking of reducing my lawn area just to avoid costly replacement.

What I do to keep my lawn healthy and golf course like, is give it regular mowing (even when it barely looks like it needs doing), feed it with a seed type feed & strengthener once a year (usually in mid-summer), leave the grass clippings on the lawn, and give it regular watering when rain is sparse.

Those darn insect larvae can be a 5 star pest. I'll usually treat the areas at the first sign with Diazinon, and about once a week with the cheapest, lemon-scented, (non anti-bacterial) liquid dishwashing soap in a hose end sprayer I can find. About a cup into a hose end sprayer will do. The bugs hate the taste of the soap, and the soap doesn't do any harm to the lawn in a low concentration like that.:smile:
