I have an old 48 inch walk behind commercial mower i just got running, just can't figure out how to adjust ground speed to slow it down enough as to not have to be practically jogging behind it . Any suggestions on what I need to adjust would be helpful

check if pully on trans shaft is oem part may be that some one changed it to a smaller one
I just sold an 80's 52 inch and it had a 5 speed transmission and first was fairly slow. Mine had a place on the back to attach a john deere seat on a tripod frame that you rode on that worked great. Also have seen a stand on peg/roller that a lot of guys use and again you ride/stand on
