Grinding on turn

So I have a zero turn hustler just out of warranty. The problem started a while ago, but thought I had it fixed. What happens is that after an hour of mowing, when pushing the right handle forward or back, it starts to get a grinding noise. The sound gets louder the more I continue. Eventually, I have had it happen where the right handle will not respond at all. Once I let the mower cool, or wait a day, I can start mowing again and the grinding is gone for about an hour. I don't have a local dealer anymore, so I need to get it repaired, but when I had a guy look at it, since he wasn't driving it for an hour, he can't diagnose the problem.
Any help appreciated!

How many hours on mower? Sounds like pump transaxle cavitation and not a good problem. Once it heats up starts making noise and losing power. In most cases it is a remove and replace solution for bad transaxle unless you can find a shop to repair or rebuild it.

Thank you.. The Hustler Raptor does not have an hour meter. Any idea of the cost of a transaxle replacement? And this makes sense if the grinding only happens on the right side?

It depends on which transaxle it is because there are many different ones. I would say $1200 to $1600 parts and labor, rough estimate.
