Sounds like a fuel problem. The engine might not be getting enough fuel when the load of the blades are applied. Test this by briefly engaging the choke when you turn the pto on then if it doesn't stall open the choke back up and see how she runs. If the engine runs fine your problem is fuel starvation. Proceed from that point.

sounds like you have a safety switch problem.....

Sounds like the safety switch for you seat. If the switch is defective then the tractor shuts down when clutch or mower is engaged because it thinks you are not sitting on the seat.:biggrin:
