Hello all. New member.

I have a McLane Edger 3.5 hp Tecumseh engine, Lawnboy push mower, Honda HR35, Ariens 5 hp snow blower.

Just acquired the McLane. I think the carb is gummed up bc it sat for a few years. It runs for 5 seconds and dies. So am working on it. Will clean carb this weekend. Possible plugged up ports.

Figured it out. Cleaned port on adjustment screw and backed off adjustment screw at bottom of bowl. It was up too tight.

Had tried starting several times but would run only 3-5 secs. After doing the above and found the sweet spot for the adjustment screw it stayed running.
