I'm seriously looking to buy this mower. I have a 1 acre yard to cut. Is this mower practical for this size yard.

Amazon.com: GreenWorks 25312 G-MAX 40V Cordless 19" Mower-(2) 40V 4 AH Li-Ion Battery Inc.: Patio, Lawn & Garden

No, not in my opinion. None of these electric push mowers are very practical for anything over 1/2 acre. This particular mower has a blade that is only about 17.5 inches long, although they describe it as 19 inch based on the deck width. Even with a 21" gas push mower, it will take you at least 2 hours to cover 1 acre, and the mower batteries will only last about an hour. It takes me about 30 minutes to mow my 6500 sq ft yard with my 21 inch gas push mower, and that's about 1/5th acre. It takes longer with my Greenworks 20" twin blade battery electric mower (19" actual cutting path), and I use about 1/2 of the battery capacity. If you really want to go electric on your size yard, I'd consider one of the larger electric rider models like the Recharge Mower G2.
