I am working on a Great Dane Chariot SR mower, and I just completed a hydro pump rebuild. I have attempted to bleed the system by lifting the machine off of the ground, opening the free wheel nut on the pump 1 turn counter-clockwise, and proceeding to move the control stick back and forth 10 to 20 times. Next I close the nut and repeat procedure. This has produced very minimal results after 10 or more tries, the side that was not rebuilt works perfectly. Does anyone know of a quick and effective method of purging the air from the system, or purging the system with oil? Any input will be greatly appreciated, i must have this mower running by tommorow.
