This mower is 12 years old. After ?? 6 or 7 years it became hard to start. Click, Click, click and then it would catch and start. Cold or warm engine made no difference. I cleaned all of the connections and grounds no change. Three or four years ago I took it in and spent $1200 on it for that and several other things and it was better when I got it back but still did it. Now it is back as bad as it ever was. I do NOT want a new mower I want this one to crank like it did when new.. Perfectly good mower otherwise. Any suggestions?
Kawasaki FR651V (726 cc, 18.8/21.5 HP) V-Twin vertical engine specifications: horsepower and torque, cylinder compression, valve clearance, oil type and capacity

Adjust valves with engine cold, specs. are above. Take your time adjusting valves, this should take care of problem. If valves are not within specs. .004 - .006., compression release on engine will not function properly.
Wiring schematic show a remote starter solenoid. I would start with replacing it as they do burn the internal contacts will lead to operative solenoid contacts. Next would be the starter itself.
