Don't have any experience with the Gravely but I do run the Kawaski Fs engine on my Grandstand and I can tell you it's a great engine and worth the money.

Both are good mowers, but what you have to consider is that the Pro-Turn is considered an entry-level Commercial, and along with the upgrades you mentioned will have the more durable ZT-3200 Trannies and a better(longer-2yr Commerial) warranty, a foldable ROPS(no ROPS on the ZT HD), pro deck adustment(17 position) versus the ZT HD 9 cutting positions. Also, the Pro-Turn comes in at 963lbs in the 60" and the ZT HD 60" at 853lbs(gotta be some improvements that weigh an additional 100 lbs).

Of course, all thing said...the upgrade to a more commercial ZTR has got to be worth the $1k to you
