I do my own maintenance if I can. 2 acres to mow. They look pretty much the same to me. What do you guys think? Both the same price.

Looks like overkill to me.
I don't know anything about the Bad Boy but I do know a little about the Gravely.
As long as you stay away from the 52" deck on the Gravely, it's a very good mower. The 52" deck has some unresolved vibration problems but the bigger deck seems to be OK.
