Gravely Pro Master 320 hydraulic fluid

I have a roughly 10 year old Gravely Pro Master 320 HD with a 60" deck. Can anyone tell me, or better yet point me to some printed information, what to use for hydraulic fluid? Also, in what position should the deck be when I look for the fluid level on the dip stick?

I purchased an owner's manual, but no where in the manual do I find the information. I stopped in to my local dealer and he just off the cuff told me "Mobil 1 oil." When I asked about the position of the deck when checking the fluid he looked at me cross-eyed. I pointed out that a lot less fluid will be in the reservoir when the hydraulic rams are fully extended versus when they are fully retracted. That seemed to be a new thought for him. His reply was to have the deck set "half way." He didn't instill a lot of confidence. I sure don't want to do damage to the hydraulics by using the wrong fluid, by putting in too much, or by not having enough in the system.

I just bought a Gravely ZT52 HD last April. At the end of the season last fall, I got a message on the timer saying it was time to change the hydraulic fluid. I was just about done with it for the year so I put it up and decided to do it in the spring. Well spring is here. I looked in the manual and my machine uses 20W50 motor oil. I have the printed manual, but I downloaded one and saved it to my computer in case I ever lose track of the printed one. Here's a link where you should be able to get a manual for your machine. You just need the model and serial numbers from the machine and you'll be all set.

If you look closely at the picture in user firemediceric's avatar, you'll notice the Pro-Master HD 320 is a different animal than our Gravely ZTR's(separate HydroGear Pumps and HydroGear Wheel motors and a power lifted out-front deck). It's a "hydraulic beast" compared to our Gravely ZTR's and he posted another thread and I gave him a link to Gravely Support. I had a question about "designated tie-down points" on my Pro-Turn 152 mentioned in the online product information(no "pictures and the dealer didn't have a clue). I had my suspicions where they are located, but went to support, clicked on Chat Support and a VERY NICE Customer Service Rep looked it up and even got a Gravely engineer on the phone to confirm I was getting the correct information First rate customer service, so keep that in mind if you have any questions, but can't find anything in your manuals(I think in his other thread he ordered a manual and it still didn't mention what to use in the hydraulic system or how to determine the right level.....major manual printing oversight). I also emailed support because the information about the adjustments for my full suspension seat were vague at best in the manual. They apologized, answered my questions and told me they would submit a manual revision for the next printing. So far I'm impressed with Ariens Company(who owns Gravely).
