Gravely 48 ZT XL48…cut sucks; deck leveling difficulty…

Likely 2014 model; just bought it used; exceptional condition; Kawasaki engine solid and strong; taller thinner weeds are left uncut; I understand deck pivot and it needs it, but it doesn’t have the simple “back off lock nut” and raise or lower; this one has turnbuckle looking threaded lift links…but no lock nuts….so I guess I’ll have to pull cotter pin and then turn it…? Any help, I’d be grateful. - Bryant
