Grasshopper Steering

Just got a nice Grasshopper 620T. It has steering dampers. One seems to restrict lever movement. Has anyone taken them off. My older grasshopper didn't have them but had an older and different drive system. Arnie

Very easy to remove. Use small screw driver to remove cap on back side of each end of damper and it will come right of
