Have been running a 2005 Grasshopper 729 for a handful of years now 750hrs.. Only issues to date have been a relay for the clutch, Governer shaft bearing and 3 batteries. Batteries don't seem to last in this thing. Kind of think its more that no one makes a good battery in the size needed ?

However, The reason I'm on this site is to troubleshoot my latest gremlin. The starter interlock that is tied into the left drive handle. The handle has to be in neutral position and all the way out or "open" in order for the starter to engage. For the past 6 months this interlock has become very sensative in a way that you really have to find a small sweet spot in order for machine to turn over. Lately (blowing snow) it has been getting worse and starting to really tick me off. Has stranded me a few times also. Can't seem to find an adjustment or a switch for that matter that I can even adjust. I understand this interlocks purpose and I know enough not to turn over engine for starting with drive engaged. So, how do I fix it or what am I looking for ?
