Grasshopper 725 just quit , now no power

Was cutting the lawn today and the engine just quit, like the key was shut off There is no power to anything.
Would the battery cause this type of problem? Would appreciate any help.
Checked fuses, all are good.

First, what engine does your 725 have? Have you tested the battery? It doesn't crank- right?

Wiring diagrams I thi"nk ae available at "the-mower-shop-inc.com" Get a wiring diagram and a meter. If you are not familiar with electricity, get the wiring diagram and enlist help from someone with a little electrical background.

Thanks guys. Tested the battery, no good, replaced it and the positive cable. VIOLA, back in business.
