Grasshopper 335 pto won't engage

Hello, my Grasshopper starts perfectly and runs great, but whenever I engage the pto it either comes on for 30 seconds or doesn't engage at all. Anyone have any experience with his problem? I've done a little research and thinking either the pto clutch connection or the battery being worn out. Any ideas?

Well, when you checked those two, what did you find?

How many hours are on your mower? When clutched start to go bad , its hard to get them to engage. Also check the 10" long jumper wire that connects the clutch to the wire harness.
