I have a Mountfield lawnmower with a side grass chute. The grass isn't getting pushed up the chute with enough force and therefore clogs at the bottom. Attached is a photo of the bottom of the mower. Do you see any obvious causes? I know there are a few holes, so do you think this would affect the air pressure and movement enough to cause the problems I'm having?
Grass even clogs up at the bottom of the chute even when the mower is on full power, cutting short grass and I'm going at a snails pace. Any help would be much appreciated.
High lift blades in good condition are the key. Those blades are shot and it looks like they're on upside down? And yes the deck condition is an issue too.
The ground edge should be up facing deck. So flat side down towards grass and air foil up towards deck. As is looks like you're actually cutting with the air foil.
