My name is Tom and iI recently aquired a Grass Hopper Model 725K and Serial #484369. I would like to know what year this is and how to disengage the hydrostatic drive so i can move the unit without starting the engine.
Thanks
Tom

Tom,
I believe that the 725K runs the Gemini transmission that is equipped with a dump valve that allows the unit to be moved without power. The dump valve lever is located on the upper right side of each transmission, you activate the dump valve by lifting up on the lever and hooking it into the hole in the neutral return pivot mount. When both transmissions are deactivated the unit becomes "freewheeling" allowing it to be moved. Remember to return the dump valve levers to the operating position when ready to operate or the unit will not function.
