governor issue husq with 44N877-0003-G1 intek v-twin

what is this plastic part? and what is the other part with the arrow? thanks

Plastic is the link retainer clip.
the ?? is the thermostat.

Both are parts on the auto choke system. Has nothing to do the governor.

found the part online! i live a long way from any parts shop to get this. any non standard repair to get this to work with out the retainer?
