Hey everyone, need help.. Long story short, have a exmark w kohler ch25. Replaced all gaskets, seals, rebuilt carb. All back together and running. But have a govenor issue. It's just racing now at idle. Could I have done something inadvertently while crank cover was off replacing the gasket? Really appreciate any advice. Thx, RJ
I am no expert by no means, but sounds like you might be experiencing what I am with my engine. I haven't checked mine yet, but I was told that the regulating pin on the governor gear, inside the engine might have came loose???? Look on page 31 of the manual, it shows a picture of the set-up. Guy told me if you don't set the governor right the first time, and it overspeeds, this regulating pin can fall off down in the bottom of the engine. Should be able to put it right back on. I'll know tomorrow.
